If you don't find what you're looking for, a free consultation is a good place to ask.

Getting started

Absolutely — in fact, it's one of the most common things we hear. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable. You might be wondering what you'll say, whether therapy is the right fit, or if your concerns are 'big enough.' Those thoughts are completely normal.

Reaching out for support takes courage, and simply being here means you've already taken the first step.

Our hope is that after your first session, you'll leave feeling a little more comfortable, a little more understood, and reassured that you don't have to navigate this alone.

That's okay. Many people come to therapy knowing they don't feel like themselves but aren't quite sure why. Others know something needs to change but don't know where to begin.

You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Part of our role is to help guide the conversation, ask thoughtful questions, and help make sense of what's bringing you here. Together, we'll connect the dots one step at a time.

Getting started is simple. You can book a free 20-minute consultation or schedule an initial therapy session through our online booking page.

If you've made it this far, you've already taken the hardest step. We look forward to meeting you.

Sessions

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another. We'll spend time learning about what has brought you to therapy, what's been feeling difficult, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether our approach feels like the right fit for you.

There is no pressure to tell your entire life story in one session. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable, and together we'll begin identifying goals for therapy.

All sessions take place over secure video, so you can join from wherever you're most comfortable — at home, on a lunch break, or while the kids are at practice. You'll receive a link before your appointment. All you need is a private space and a stable internet connection.

There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. The length of therapy depends on your goals, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from the process.

Some people benefit from short-term therapy focused on a specific concern, while others choose to continue longer as they work through deeper patterns or ongoing life changes. Throughout our work together, we'll regularly check in on your progress and adjust our approach as your needs evolve.

Fees and eligibility

Individual therapy sessions are $160 CAD for a 50-minute session.

Many extended health benefit plans cover services provided by Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) or Registered Psychotherapists. Because every plan is different, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider to confirm your coverage.

Direct billing is not currently available. Following each session, you'll receive a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement if your plan includes coverage.

A limited number of sliding scale spaces are available for individuals facing financial hardship. Please contact us to learn more.

We work with adults and teens aged 14 and up, individually and as couples, virtually across Ontario. Sessions are offered in English.

Approach

We take an integrative approach to therapy, meaning we tailor our work together to your unique needs, goals, and experiences rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

Our work is informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based approaches, and person-centred therapy. Some sessions may focus on building practical skills, while others may involve exploring patterns, relationships, and experiences that have shaped the way you see yourself and the world.
